Nina Simone This long overdue CD re-issues two of Nina Simone's out-of-print albums which were originally released on her then husband/producer/mentor's Stroud label in the early Seventies. At the time she was very much at the peak of her considerable powers. Gifted And Black features 1971 recordings of 'Porgy', 'Black Is The Colour' and 'The Thrill Is Gone'. Live At Berkeley was recorded in 1969 and features versions of 6 classic Simone tracks.

Mostly Coltrane "Mostly Coltrane is the ideal homage. There's no shortage of the intrepid exploratory spirit (and spiritual inspiration) that's made Coltrane a cultural icon for generations of musicians and fans, but equally there's no missing the personal qualities that define Kuhn and his group. A rare opportunity to hear Kuhn outside the trio setting he's largely preferred for most of his career" -All About Jazz

Eleni Karaindrou: The Dust of Time

Django Brasil "For many taking Django to Brazil is sacrilege, yet it's done so lovingly here and by such great and reverential musicians that not only is the music not dumbed down, it actually elevates Django's immortal songs, demonstrating their power and ability to breathe life into whichever genre you decide to throw them at." -CyclicDefrost.com
